Can Greece break the 10-match curse against the favorite? Germany vs Greece

The Greece National Team’s epic 1-2 comeback victory over Serbia inside Belgrade's "Marakana" was the ultimate football "bombshell" of Matchday 1 in League A, completely overturning all predictions.

The Greek National Team's next match is away against Germany on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 20:45 (local German time) for Matchday 2 of the [UEFA Nations League]. The clash will take place at Augsburg's stadium.

Germany enters the match as the clear favorite, with betting odds and forecasts giving them a distinct advantage.

Our national team has never beaten Germany in 10 historical meetings, counting 7 defeats and 3 draws. Their last encounter, a friendly match in June 2024, also ended in a 2-1 defeat.

Will our National Team manage to pull off a massive upset and claim the victory?

As previously mentioned, Germany is the clear favorite. Therefore, we examine the 1st house, which is located in the sign of Taurus, making Venus its ruler. Correspondingly, Greece takes the 7th house, which is ruled by Mars.

The astonishing part of this analysis is that we observe Mars (Greece) positioned at the cusp of the 4th house—3 degrees away—(which functions as the derivative 10th house from the 7th). This serves as an extremely positive sign for our team.

Furthermore, examining the Part of Fortune (at 07°07’ Sagittarius), we find that its antiscion falls at 22°53’ Capricorn (always using the diurnal Part).

As the Moon in Aries progresses, it is about to form a square aspect with the antiscion (Capricorn), a alignment that traditionally favors the underdog of the matchup.

Finally, Pluto's presence in the 10th house constitutes a highly ominous sign for the favorite, namely Germany, boosting the chances of a major surprise from our side.

Such an outcome would, without a doubt, constitute the biggest and most historic upset in our National Team's journey so far!

Yet, beyond the points, even a draw would be of invaluable worth for the overall image of our National Team. Such a result would prove in practice that our team possesses discipline, organization, method, and know-how. In any case, securing even a draw would be an exceptionally significant achievement against a football giant like Germany.

No matter what, we wish our National Team the absolute best and send them all our positive energy and luck for a great performance!
