September Full Moon: An explosive Full Moon that demands great caution

The core of this chart is Aries, which once again points to Mars, featuring a heavy emphasis on the Fire element and the cardinal modality. Therefore, it becomes clear that Mars will play a starring role here. Let us not forget that he is the ruler of the entire Full Moon horoscope. Furthermore, the degree of the Ascendant falls on a degree of greed and cruelty (18th degree of Aries).

September 26, 2026 – FULL MOON (3°36’ Aries)

With the Ascendant in the sign of Aries, this moon brings an intense need for action, independence, and new beginnings to the surface, while simultaneously triggering a great deal of tension and conflict. This happens because Mars is in an exceptionally precarious position: at the final degrees of Cancer, where he is in his absolute fall, but "luckily" also in his own triplicity.

I put "luckily" in quotation marks because this triplicity can ultimately function negatively. In the sense that "I" (Leo) am absolutely right (triplicity) and externalize what I feel; whereas previously in Cancer he didn't do so, now he will—he will project his personal (Leo) action (Mars) outward, but with Pluto right there, it will be destructive.

Mars in Cancer cannot express his energy directly and straightforwardly. He operates underground, through moodiness, accumulated anger, and an initial passivity-aggression. In this sign, he acts primarily against familiar faces, dredging up the past, and in his absolute fall, he becomes highly dangerous.

Furthermore, the final degrees (anaretic degrees), which we have discussed in the past, are also linked to the past. They harbor a massive amount of accumulated energy—mostly negative due to the planet's absolute fall—and the danger lies in the fact that Mars will discharge this entire payload into the next sign, where he will face Pluto head-on. This condition is anything but ideal, so we must once again expect extreme situations, especially on a social level, with intense outbursts of violence. In fact, because Mars is in the duad (dwadashamsha) of Gemini, we might see dangerous situations involving youth, teenagers, and children.

His encounter with Pluto is one of the most explosive and violent aspects in astrology, representing extreme power struggles, fateful clashes, and highly manipulative behaviors. The "ego" (Leo) is about to come into a head-on collision with the collective and the group (Aquarius).

The fact that we have this Full Moon on the axis of war shows once again that we will confront extreme events and a wartime climate. The Moon in the 12th house is heading toward a conjunction with Saturn (one of the most difficult aspects) and, on a global level, we will once again see human souls being lost and suffering. Besides, the degree of the Ascendant is near the Gate of the Chief (Gate of the Sun, at the 17th degree). Perhaps, then, we will witness extreme behavior from individuals of prestige and authority, which will have a direct impact on the people, as these leaders care only about their own power (Sun in detriment in Aquarius). We know very well what Aquarius means and what it stands for when fighting and battling for human ideals—ideals for which, in order to succeed, it is capable of wiping out multitudes of people.

The core advice for this September Full Moon is to be exceptionally careful and not allow our EGO (Leo) to drive us. If we act (Mars) out of stubbornness and egocentrism (Leo), we will meet powerful resistance (Pluto), which can have unpleasant consequences for ourselves.

• The Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn): They must exercise the utmost caution. Especially Aries, as they have the Moon and Saturn right on top of them, while facing the stellium from the sign of Libra.
• The Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces): They will have significant opportunities and noticeably better conditions, provided they leverage their natural adaptability and the flexibility of their mutable element.
• The Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius): They will experience similar opportunities to stabilize situations, as long as they do not get trapped in rigid behaviors.

In any case, you should examine your natal chart, as some may have planets at degrees or positions that require special attention. The above offers a general and introductory overview of the month's trends. We always give priority to our personal natal chart, as it determines exactly how transits will manifest in our lives.

For example, someone might have their natal Sun in Aries at 11 degrees, where transiting Saturn currently sits (bringing pressure or responsibilities). At the same time, however, their Sun might be receiving a favorable trine from Jupiter in Leo, which in turn forms a sextile with the Mercury of the Full Moon.

In such a case, the positive involvement of Jupiter and Mercury offers ways out, clever ideas, and opportunities. Thus, the pressure of Saturn is transformed into stabilization and mature success, rather than sheer hardship. This is why the natal chart always has the final say!

Have a beautiful autumn! Wishing you a creative and productive month!
